ADORATION CHAPEL
What We Do: We are fortunate to have a Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration Chapel here at St. John’s. Adorers pray before our Eucharistic Lord throughout the day and night, seven days a week. We have been doing this since Bishop Kenneth Steiner dedicated the chapel in 2002. Many blessings result from the prayers of our adorers.
The Chapel is located on the northeast corner of the Church. It has its own exterior, code-locked door for safe, after-hours entry, and there is an available restroom adjacent to the Chapel. Over 100 people come to the Chapel for their regular weekly hour. We have substitutes available when needed. Some come for the quiet and prayerful atmosphere. Some like to read and reflect, using one of the books available in the chapel. Others write in prayer journals, or pray the rosary. We are one of the few Adoration Chapels in the Archdiocese of Portland that is open 24 hours.
