PRAYER SHAWL MINISTRY
The Prayer Shawl Ministry is a spiritual practice of knitting or crocheting shawls in a pattern of threes (representing Father, Son, and Holy Spirit), praying for the recipient (known or unknown) and giving them away in a spirit of love and compassion to those in need. This may include people entering a new phase in life, such as the birth of a new baby, or those experiencing a loss, illness, or diffucult circumtances. Many prayers are knit into every shawl. Any pattern is acceptable.
You can make them at home and drop them off in the parish office.
Those who have received these shawls have been very touched and appreciative.
Please contact Mary Jenck in the parish office with any questions you might have. 503-654-5449
