One of the most important, regular social events is Sunday Coffee & Donuts. Nearly every Sunday after the 7:30 and 10:00 am Masses we offer coffee and donuts in the parish center for those wishing to spend a bit more time visiting with their SJB family.


Volunteers from the various groups such as the Knights of Columbus, PFA or Young Ladies Institute (YLI) ‘host’ on selected Sundays. These volunteers come in at 6:30am to set up, start coffee, pick up the donuts, and do other ‘getting ready’ tasks. Everyone is invited to join after Mass, and this is a great opportunity to invite someone you don’t know to join you and meet others in a warm and welcoming atmosphere.


There is no set charge for refreshments, but there is a basket for free-will offerings. When one of the groups sponsors the event they receive any proceeds offered. The cost of coffee and donuts is an expense to our operating budget, because the event is an important part of our outreach ministries.
From time to time, we offer something called Coffee & Conversation after morning Masses. This is an opportunity for parishioners to meet with our pastor and parish leadership to talk about important issues. We meet in the Saalfeld Room after the 7:30 and 10 am Masses, with prior notification in the weekly bulletin and in the pulpit announcements.
