BAPTISM
The Sacrament of Baptism is celebrated the first Sunday of the month directly following the 10:00am Mass.
Parents of children, infants through kindergarten, must take a baptismal preparation class. The class seeks to help parents understand the Rite of Baptism and to prepare and support parents in the ongoing faith formation of their child. Please call the Religious Education office, (503) 659-2760, or e-mail reoffice@qwestoffice.net to register, or for any other questions.
Children in grades 1, 2, or 3 who have not been baptized will attend a special religion class until they are prepared for the sacrament. The parents will attend the baptism class described above.
RCIA for children and teens is a process designed for children ten years old and older who have not received their sacraments. Classes meet every Tuesday from 7:00pm to 8:30pm in the parish center. This will introduce your child to the basic teachings of the Catholic Church and prepare them for the Sacraments of Baptism (if necessary), Confirmation, and Eucharist. To register, call the Religious Education office. Following reception of these sacraments, your child will then join the religious education classes at their grade level.
