Dear Parents, Sponsors, and Confirmandi,
Rehearsal will take place on Weds., May 11
from 6:30-8:00 p.m at Christ the King Parish.
A sponsor or parent MUST be present with the candidate!
Sacrament of Confirmation will be celebrated
Sunday May 15 at 4:00 p.m. Mass

ALL CANDIDATES AND THEIR SPONSORS ARE TO BE AT THERE BY 3:30 P.M.
A reception will follow.
Everyone is invited to the reception.
DRESS: The proper attire for the Confirmation Mass is:
**BOYS: Shirt and Slacks (appropriate for a very special occasion) NO JEANS, SHORTS, T-SHIRTS!
**GIRLS: Dress, skirt (not too short), or very nice pant suit (appropriate for a very special occasion). Be careful in choosing shoes! Strapless shoes will “clomp” on our cobblestones and can be a safety issue!
NO STRAPLESS or VERY THIN STRAP (SPAGHETTI) STRAP DRESSES, NO EXTRA SKIN SHOWING!

**MUCHACHOS: Camisa y pantalón (apropiado para esta ocasión especial) NO JEANS, SHORTS, CAMISAS CON LOGOS, o TENNIS!
**MUCHACHAS: Vestido, falda (debajo de la rodilla), o traje de pantalón (apropiado para esta ocasión). Cuidado con los zapatos porque el piso allí tiene piedrecitas y puede ser difícil caminar con tacones muy altos.

CONFIRMATION
Confirmation preparation is a one year process for high school students . Classes begin in October 2010; registration is now open to any high school student who has not received the sacrament. Classes are held Wednesday from 7:00pm to 8:30pm, with the celebration of the Sacrament after Easter.
Weekly classes to deepen faith understanding, service opportunities, an overnight retreat, and prayer & rituals are some of the components of this process. Sponsors and parents are encouraged to take an active role by attending several classes with their candidate.
This process is not “graduation” from Faith Formation, but an opportunity to build upon what is already known about the Catholic Faith, to help the youth gain additional experience, and to help them in the direction of discipleship (living the Gospel).
The Sacrament of Confirmation completes the young person’s Sacraments of Initiation. To register or for further questions, please Patrick David at 503-659-2760.
