Knights of Columbus

On March 29, 1882 at Saint Mary’s Church in New Haven, CT, a young
Catholic priest, Father Michael J. McGivney and the leaders of his parish founded the Knights of Columbus to provide assistance to Catholic widows and orphans.

Today, our membership exceeds 1.7 million, and we have become the largest and most influential Catholic Fraternal Order in the world.

We have provided...
*Millions of dollars in Loans for building Catholic Schools and Churches.
*We have our own fraternal Insurance program exceeding $64 billion of protection in force on our members and families.
*We work ardently for our Parish, our Church and our Youth.
*We aid the poor, homeless and developmentally disabled.
*We support our Pope; Bishop, Priests, Seminarians.

For those who don’t know...Driven by our faith, The Knights of Columbus is an organization of Catholic men and their families - husbands, wives, children, widows, college students and religious. Every day, the K of C provides its members with the opportunity to discover the importance of charity, unity, fraternity and patriotism to our country, our world and our community.
If you have a desire for stewardship and service to your church and specifically St. John the Baptist Parish, then the Knights of Columbus is an organization that can help you fulfill your desire. I urge all men in this parish to get involved and to join the K of C.
