MEALS ON WHEELS
What We Do: St. John’s has supported Meals on Wheels at the Milwaukie Center (formerly known as the Milwaukie Senior Center) for more than twenty years. We now pack over 200 meals per day. Currently we volunteer to work the first and third Mondays of each month. After the Meals on Wheels are packed and being delivered by volunteer drivers, the volunteer kitchen crew has lunch before serving a group meal to the public that come to the Center for lunch. Hours worked are from 9:30am to 1:00pm. As an added service from 1:30 to 3:00pm, we help with 200 or more cold packs for the next day’s delivery. Cold pack helpers and drivers could be used ANY day of the week.
