ST. VINCENT DE PAUL
St. John the Baptist Conference
What We Do: The Society of St. Vincent de Paul is a worldwide Catholic organization of laypersons, open to all who wish to live their faith by loving and serving their neighbor. On a person-to-person basis, members of the society help those in need, regardless of race, creed, sex, orientation, handicap, national origin, or religion. Our work includes distributing food, utility, and rental assistance.
Each volunteer works an average of three hours weekly on one of four days: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday. Food boxes are packed at our pantry by SVDP personnel, and then delivered to the client. Utility and rental assistance is mainly telephone work performed from the parish office. We currently have 12 volunteers and would love to have you join us in performing this wonderful ministry.
