CATHOLIC EDUCATION ENDOWMENT FUND
Contributions are invested and continue to provide a supplemental source of financial assistance to parish families attending St. John the Baptist Catholic School.
This fund was begun in 1992. The July 2008 balance is $367,307. The fund is invested by the Archdiocese of Portland on behalf of St. John the Baptist with the Bank of California. You are encouraged to make a contribution to CEEF. This is a great way to remember a family member, a favorite teacher, or make a reunion gift. Contributions can be made of cash gifts now or a planned gift for the future.
For many years gifts to this fund have been doubled by a challenge grant from the Joe Weston Foundation. Mr. Weston, a Portland entrepreneur, philanthropist, and strong believer in Catholic schools, has matched donations to CEEF up to $8,500. To make the match count for this year, gifts to this fund must be received by September 30th.
Gifts can be made by check through the following:
--Making a planned gift.
--Using the special school envelope mailed to you along with your offertory envelopes. Please check the box “School Endowment Fund”.
--During the School’s Annual Appeal, designate your gift to CEEF.
--Designating gifts to CEEF in lieu of flowers at your funeral.
Please write “CEEF” on the note portion of your check.
