PARISH OFFERTORY PLEDGE
On behalf of the entire community, thank you to the families who have made their parish offertory commitment! The parish offertory program provides about 90% of parish operating expenses. Every November parishioners are asked to prayerfully make a commitment to this program. We are requested to consider all the gifts that God has given to us, not just the financial gifts, but also our lives, our families, our parish community; all that we are, and all that we have. Based on this prayerful reflection, and family discussion, each of us should decide whether to increase, decrease, or continue the commitment we are currently making.
By committing to a specific amount over a one year period, you are helping our staff and Finance Council create a more realistic budget to fund important ministries and operating expenses. As our budget tops $800,000 per year, planning becomes more and more important.
Your offertory commitment and your sacrifice are especially appreciated during these trying economic times. Also important are your prayers that our needs will be met. For some, the commitment to prayer is all they are able to do right now. We pray that God will bless you and your family abundantly in 2010.
